Update by J Singer

Life has dealt me some serious blows this year. I’m not shooting as much as I had hoped to. I’m even questioning if I still have the passion for this anymore. That’s just the raw truth of my heart right now. I’ve been without a full time corporate job since March of 2023. God has provided me odd jobs here and there to supplement my income though and I’m thankful for that. I don’t know what is to come right now. I’m still healing. Thanks for your time.

COMING SOON by J Singer

What a time capsule. I’ll be writing here again soon. But for now, I should probably go to sleep (it’s 4:55am). I need rest right now. For at the proper time, it will be awakened.

Refocus by J Singer

Trying to start your own business is quite nerve racking, especially when you might not have a solid background in business. I just know I love taking pictures, especially of vehicles. My love of the craft alone isn't going to make me profitable. I need good business sense. I'm going to slow down my efforts to take more pictures and instead refocus on what it means to run a good business that's not only profitable, but also creates value for my client base.

I'm already my own worst critic, never knowing if the shot I just took is going to turn out how I want it or not (it usually does in the end). I'm also a perfectionist and have a sometimes detrimental desire to please other people. I just want people to be happy with the work that I create. So trying to figure out how to run a business that's successful and makes people happy and actually is profitable (so I can, you know, have a life), is frying my little brain!

That's why I'm stepping back a bit to refocus. I might edit some old photos to keep content coming, but I won't be actively seeking new projects for now. I'm going to restructure my life so that I'm ready for the next step. I'm going to read business books and continue to listen to Aaron Patton's podcast, Lightcast, to keep my mind on the right path and mindset I need to succeed in this business. I'm also going to focus on just vehicles and really push that part of my talent. That's what I was known for and that's what I should become the best at first. Then maybe I can do personal projects with models and city exploring.

So that's where I am at. It's not likely a vast number of people are going to read this, but if you did, I'm grateful for your time today. Hope your week and weekend are wonderful!

Update! by J Singer

It's been a week and three days since my site went live. It sure does feel a lot longer than that for some reason. I'm still fine-tuning things here and there. I've redone my About page three or four times; I think it's pretty solid at the moment, but it'll likely continue to grow and evolve as I do.

I'm working on getting the Experience page up which will breakdown in a little more detail what services I offer exactly and what you can expect from those experiences with me. I'm also going to change the file sizes of all the photos on the site, because I think it's loading pretty slow for some people, myself included. I don't live in an area that offers high speed internet, so the fastest speed I see is around 2mbps (download). It's actually closer to 1mbps or slower in most cases. It's a large part of why updates take so long to do; sometimes I just don't have access to my site because I don't have internet.

Enough negativity though! I'm really excited for this journey that lies ahead. I'm excited to do my best and work my hardest to bring you the best photos I possibly can. As always, thanks for your time!

Here it is! by J Singer

It's fifteen minutes past five in the morning and I'm wide awake (w/o Red Bull mind you). I've been up all night/morning working on getting my site up and running! I'm pleased to say it's finally here. I've been listening to this song on repeat for the past four hours or so. I blame it's creamy goodness on why I couldn't sleep. Anyway, I'm gonna get some rest (I think). Thanks for checking out my site, if you did. I appreciate your time! To new adventures!
